This is an intensive course that covers a variety of hand building techniques that will equip you with the basics to pottery making using traditional techniques. This course is suitable for beginners who are looking for an entry point to pottery making.
In this course, you will learn:

- hand build handles;
- use moulds with hand building techniques;
- to glaze using pouring and dipping techniques
- bring home up to 8 pieces of self-made pottery

A1. Hand building Taster Class – The Matcha Trio
Experience the art of hand-building in this fun and relaxed one-off workshop. In The Matcha Trio, you'll make your own matcha mixing bowl, cup, and whisk holder using pinching and slab techniques. Add your personal touch through stamping, painting, or simply choose a glaze colour — perfect for matcha lovers and creative souls alike.
B. Makers Monthly – Studio Rental Package

B. Wheel Throwing Taster Class
Welcome to our Taster Wheel Throwing Class! If you've been curious about pottery and eager to experience the hands-on creation process on the potter's wheel, this class is perfect for you. No prior experience is necessary for this class, making it suitable for beginners who are eager to explore the art of pottery. B1- Wheel Throwing 101 Course
Explore wheel throwing basics in this introductory course. Delve into creating cylinder and bowl forms, mastering trimming techniques, and discover the art of glazing through dipping. Tailored for beginners, work with 300gms of clay for a hands-on introduction to the captivating world of wheel throwing.
B2 – Mugs and Bowls Course
Unlock the secrets of wheel throwing in this course, using 500g clay to craft cylinder forms, shape with wooden tools, trim, pull handles for cups, and master glazing through the dipping technique. Gain valuable skills in maximising clay for crafting bowl forms.
B3 – The Taller The Better – Vases & Bottles Course
This is course to master the art of crafting bottles and vases. Develop your skills in centering clay through the coning technique and enhance efficiency in pulling and shaping 500-750g cylinders. This hands-on experience will elevate your pottery craftsmanship and bring your creative vision to life.
